About us
TEFLTech is a small organisation based on the south coast of England whose aim is to help advance the use of technology in the EFL classroom.
The founder of the company is Richard Turnbull, whose background of teaching, technology and business has led to the formation of TEFLTech. Together with a range of colleagues and associates both on-line and off-line, Richard has been able to build a wealth of knowledge and expertise to be able to share with others.
TEFLTech aims to use this combined knowledge to work together with teachers, teacher trainers and directors of EFL schools and departments to help advance the use of technology in the classroom.
The Story So Far...
No-one can deny the impact of technology on education - you only need to take a look inside a local state school to see how much technology has changed education, from school administration to teaching itself. The TEFL industry has been relatively slow on the uptake of technology, mainly because of the prohibitive cost and uncertainty of its effectiveness. With costs falling dramatically, the TEFL industry is finally starting to realise and embrace the full pedagogical benefits these new tools can bring. The Future...
TEFLTech aims to expand its range of consultancy and training for schools all over the UK and around the world. A range of training methods, from drop in workshops to comprehensive courses have been developed to provide training for all abilities and needs. By delivering a complete package of consultancy and training, it is possible to ensure the most can be made of any investment in equipment and facilities.
